Some call it magic. We call it superior UV technology. The VersaUV LEF-12i offers countless product customization and substrate possibilities, including printing directly on three-dimensional objects up to 3.94” thick ranging from pens and smart phone covers to signs, personalized awards, giftware, promotional items, laptop covers and even guitar bodies. With the all new LEF-12i UV Flatbed Printer, you can print directly on virtually any substrate or dimensional object. The LEF-12i offers a print area of 12" x 11" x 3.94." Designed for flexibility, ECO-UV inks image beautifully and conform around the most complex corners and curves. Clear ink can be layered into gloss or matte finishes for unique embossing and varnishing effects. White ink can be printed as a spot color or as a flood behind CMYK to make colors pop on dark backgrounds or clear materials such as acrylic.

The Wonder of ECO-UV Ink

Proper ventilation is required during UV production. An optional BOFA Air Filtration Unit for use with the LEF-12i is available and doubles as a stand and storage unit for jigs, fixtures and supplies.

Ink Efficiency and Consistency
The LEF-12i has an Automated Ink circulation system for the white ink channel that helps to maintain a consistent white point and opacity, even on long print runs. Controlled ink circulation ensures that ink pigments can’t settle in the ink lines, resulting in smooth ink consistency and density.
Includes Roland VersaWorks Dual
The LEF-12i includes new VersaWorks Dual RIP software with a new core engine to enable faster previewing times. It also improves handling of PDF and EPS files and files that contain drop-shadows and transparencies.
With VersaWorks Dual, users don't need to return to their design software and are able to set-up special layers like White, and Gloss directly in the RIP. Other features include rotating, set spacing and Maintain Clip Position within the RIP for greater control when printing graphics and applying Gloss Ink effects.

Roland VersaWorks Dual offers advanced features that include Predictive Ink Calculator and Spot Color Replacement. It also features a Pantone Spot Color Library and a Roland Texture System Library with ready-to-use Gloss finishes and other effects.
